About Sandy Knits

Hi! I'm Leslie.
You can almost always find me with a Sandy Knits project in progress - whether that is at home in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts or when I am out and about. Each hat is crafted using only the finest, most luxuriously soft yarns. The name Sandy Knits was inspired by my mini Goldendoodle, Sandy, who is my ever-present knitting pal.

About the Hats
Many Sandy hats are designed by Leslie who uses 100% wool yarn and a removable pom pom. In her knitting and designs, Leslie strives for the unexpected and uniqueness when it comes to color, design, and the direction of each hat. From the first cast-on to the final stitch, every hat embodies artistry, attention to detail, and classic New England style!

About Leslie
Leslie lives and works in Beverly Farms, MA with her husband Michael and her dog, Sandy. She has been an avid knitter since the age of 14. Having studied theater in college and with a mother who was an artist and interior designer, Leslie's creative background inspires her unique and fabulous knitwear.
Sandy Knits began in 2022 after a long and successful career in sales and advertising for Leslie. For her next chapter, she knew she wanted to incorporate her lifelong hobby of knitting. After creating hats for friends and family, Sandy Knits was born! Now, she knits custom hats for boutiques in her home state of Massachusetts, sells hats on instagram, and attends holiday shows with all of her beautiful creations.

Hat Care
You probably won't have to wash your Sandy hat, but if the need ever arises, here are the instructions! Remove the pom-pom (don't lose the button) and dunk the hat in cold water with gentle soap. Rinse and squeeze out excess moisture with a towel. Form the hat in the shape and size you prefer and lay flat to dry. This is also a good way to refresh your hat if it gets stretched out.
Fluff up the pom-pom by shaking it or if it has gotten wet, use a blow dryer to dry. Reattach by stringing the thread through the top of the hat and tie to the button.
Never put your Sandy hat in the washing machine or the dryer.
